CCR Question #4 Draft

How did you incorporate technology in the process? To produce my magazine I first used publisher to organize and put it all together. I then decided ti use Adobe Indesign because it looks more professional and modern. To take my photos I used a Canon EOS Rebel T5i. I then used the app VSCO on my I phone XR to edit my phots. I mainly edited the lighting and cropping tools.

CCR Question #3 Draft

When I first started with this project I had a general idea of how to set up and organize a magazine, but it was a very elementary level. After going through this process of practicing with Publisher and Indesign I feel as though my skill level has risen immensely. When it comes to the photography aspect of magazine production, my skill was pretty good when we started this project. After watching extents in class, going over camera angles and lighting, my skill has grown to a professional level. Since my magazine is a food magazine I had to learn what makes food look good. Food is different than a person because when someone sees food the feeling goes to their stomach and we need readers to have a good feeling when looking at my magazine.

CCR Question #2 Draft

How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text? What I learned most in my audience engagement research was that social media is a big part of marketing for magazines. This is because social media is easily shared by its users and there are so many platforms that businesses are able to catch more audience members. My marketing plan is to mostly use social media to get through to my audience members and to gain more. We want yo get as many readers as possible. For distribution I have learned that online distribution is the new mostly used way of getting our magazines to readers. So, I will be using online as well as printed distribution. My target audience is women between the ages fo 30-50 years old. This is because it is mostly women who are doing the cooking and buying magazines about it. Many of these women like to buy them at grocery stores, that is why I will also have printed media.

CCR Quote question #1 Draft

How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues? A few conventions that I had used through out my magazine was the use of camera angles, fonts, and organization of my pages. I wanted to keep my magazine pretty conventional so when I was taking pictures of the food and the truck I wanted to make sure that they all looked inviting and delicious. I know that without the correct lighting and camera angles food can look not good and would make people not want to eat it. I also tried to stay very basic and conventional with my fonts through out my magazine. The only one that would really "challenge" these conventions is my title fonts. This is because I really wanted to emphasize the word delicious. When I think of the word delicious I see it in cursive. Finally, I wanted to keep my magazine looking professional so I kept my article organization very conventional. I don't have a specific social group that is being represent...
